The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero series is an extremely strong blend of cigars. Certainly the most well-known line, the Double Ligero is not for the faint of heart. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, under the watchful eye of Litto Gomez, these cigars contain a considerable amount of Dominican ligero. The binder and filler are grown on LFD's Dominican farm, La Canela, and the natural version's wrapper is Ecuadorian sun-grown while the maduro version exhibits more sweet, toasty notes. These cigars are full-bodied with initial notes of cedar and spice. Then it blossoms to rich layers of coffee, nuts and minerals. The finish is earthy, with a touch of molasses.
The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel is the cigar that really gained more press for LFD. There has never been so unique a cigar shape in the industry. We suggest using a v-cutter to slice the head or using a punch cutter just south of the head, so the smoke hits the roof of your mouth. The blend packs a flavor spectrum upon the palate. The 6 inch by 54 rg chisel-shaped cigar will burn for about 65 minutes. The strength is medium-strong to strong. Don't be a tool. Smoke this handyman's cigar.
